bride and groom embracing at their ballymagarvey village wedding

Beautiful Ballymagarvey Village Wedding

When I first started photographing weddings almost 10 years ago, Ballymagarvey Village wedding was one of my first wedding venues. Back in 2008 it was an incredible venue and so different from the usual hotel scene. Over time, its popularity grew and grew and now its one of the top wedding venues outside of Dublin. It’s a venue loved not just by couples and their guests but loved by all Dublin & Meath wedding photographers including myself. It’s an absolute delight to photograph a wedding in and when Hayley and Ronan approached me to photograph their wedding there, I was only too delighted to say yay..!

Hayley & Ronan’s Ballymagarvey Village Wedding

The weather was absolutely beautiful for the April wedding – blue skies and warm temperatures. Bridal preparations took place in Hayley’s family home before we all made our way to the lovely Rathfeigh church for the ceremony. Hayley looked spectacular and Ronan’s expression said it all when she lifted her veil after she reached the top of the alter.

Ceremony over and all the guests spent quite a bit of time outside the church enjoying the sun before making the short trip up the road to Ballymagarvey where champagne and canapés were waiting. Having your wedding photographs taken in Ballymagarvey is relatively straightforward as everything is on the doorstep – there are loads of lovely spots to work in. Both bride and groom wanted to spend as much time with their guests as possible so we just spent a quick 20 minutes on their photographs and a few more on family photographs before we unleashed them back amongst their guests who were by this stage well settled enjoying their drinks indoors and outdoors .

However, soon it was time to get out of the sun and enter the converted barn for dinner. Some brilliant speeches and then the party started with some proper dance floor moves…!!

A typical Ballymagarvey Village wedding – absolutely brilliant and enhanced by great weather and of course a really cool couple to work with. I want to say a huge thanks to Hayley and Ronan for trusting me to be their wedding photographer and I wish them the very best for the future.

Hayley and Ronan, congratulations again on your wedding day and I want to thank you for choosing me to be your Ballymagarvey Village Wedding Photographer.
