Beautiful Ballyseede Castle Wedding

If you are looking for an Irish castle wedding with some lovely interiors, lovely grounds and close to the Atlantic ocean for those beach shots, then a Ballyseede Castle wedding is for you..!

Ballyseede Castle Wedding

This was my first time photographing a wedding at Ballyseede. I’ve worked at all her sister castles – Cabra Castle, Markree Castle & Bellingham Castle. However, finally I was available for Aine & Allan’s celebration in this splendid wedding venue.

So having looked forward to this one for a while, the day finally came and I started with Aine at her family home in Tralee. Hair and makeup were underway and all nice and calm. Joining me was Evan from Irish Eye Wedding video who I’ve worked with loads of times. After a quick visit to Allan and the lads it was time for the ceremony at St. Brendans Church in Curraheen.

Vows done and dusted. Congratulations from all the wedding guests received. And after a few photos outside the church, it was down the road to Derrymore Strand for bridal party and bride and groom shots. No golden afternoon sunshine to work with but you roll with what you have got. However, when you have a couple who are as enthusiastic and awesome as Aine and Allan, we didn’t need dramatic light to make these guys look amazing. The epic location with its long grass, white sand and beautiful backdrop was a dream to work in so our couple and their bridal party all looked stunning. We spent about 30 minutes here before we had to call it a day and head to their Ballyseede Castle Wedding. Evan and I did however, manage to steal 5 minutes of Aine and Allan’s precious time as we entered the grounds of the castle. Here we captured a few more photographs and video in a wooded area just off the magnificent driveway.

A Ballyseede Castle wedding offers a terrific venue with plenty of inside rainy day options for photographs. Not that we needed it today though. Family photographs were done at the front door before dinner bell was called. Speeches and dances were photographed before I said my goodbye’s.

A big thanks to all the staff and in particular to Aine and Allan and all their families and guests for making this a wonderful Ballyseede Castle wedding to photograph.

That’s enough from me. Enjoy a few photographs below from the various elements of their day.
