Dublin city centre weddings and in particular a Dublin Unitarian Church wedding have always been popular for a variety of reasons. Abundance of choice between ceremony venues for religious or civil ceremonies and a huge choice of reception venues attract many couples. One popular combination of venues for a religious ceremony and a reception venue is for a beautiful intimate Dublin Unitarian Church wedding and the Shelbourne Hotel for a luxury wedding celebration.

Beautiful Intimate Dublin Unitarian Church Wedding

Helen and Richard from County Down opted for this combination for their intimate family centred wedding last summer. I’ve worked in the Unitarian Church on St Stephens Green before and it’s a beautiful building. A welcome bonus is that the Rev Bridget Spain is a lovely and accommodating lady to work with.

For this wedding, I started just before the ceremony to capture Helen arriving by foot from the Shelbourne Hotel where she got ready.

After Helen arrived with her father, she was accompanied up the aisle with her two sons and the ceremony began.

Nuptials complete it was over to the Shelbourne Hotel for the reception. However, not before stopping off at St Stephens Green park for family photos. Once some quick family photos were out of the way, Helen and Richard hung back with me for some photos of themselves. For this, we simply took a stroll around the park. We stopped off at various points on the way where the light was good and where there were less people around.

A quick phone call to the Shelbourne from me when we were almost finished to ensure hotel staff and some of their guests were at the door to greet the bride and groom when they arrived at the Shelbourne.

Then it was party time. First though a few quick photos of Helen and Richard in the famous Constitution Room
